The Two Threads Method is run by Alissa Lang Ltd. This page says what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we do not sell or share it, and every email we send has a way to stop them.

1. Who we are

Alissa Lang Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, is the data controller for thetwothreadsmethod.com and for the Two Threads programme, which is delivered at yourdivorceally.com. Contact details are at the end of this page.

2. What we collect, and when

3. Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no tracking cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage for one thing: your light or dark theme choice. That stays on your device and is never sent to us.

4. How we use your information

Our lawful bases are the contract with you (the programme), your consent (the “tell me” email), and our legitimate interest in running the site safely.

5. Sensitive information and confidentiality

The method deals with painful events: divorce, redundancy, betrayal, estrangement, fraud. What you write in the programme worksheets stays with you; we never see it. Anything you share with us directly is treated as confidential and used only to support your work with us. The Two Threads Method is educational, not therapy, medical care, legal or financial advice, or specialist domestic abuse support. We do not diagnose and we do not keep clinical records. If you are at risk from someone, the National Domestic Abuse Helpline (0808 2000 247) or, in immediate danger, 999 are the right first calls.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. We share it only with the providers we use to run the programme, and only so they can do their part: Cloudflare (hosting, our database and our email sending, EU and UK data centres), Stripe (payments) and Zoho (our mailbox, EU data centre). Each is bound by its own privacy terms and by contract with us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

7. Where it is kept, and for how long

Your information is stored in the UK and the EU. Purchase records are kept for six years, as tax law requires. A “tell me” address is kept until the email has been sent and you have had a chance to unsubscribe, or until you ask us to remove it. Correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful to the relationship and then deleted.

8. Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or have a copy in a portable form. Email us and we will act within a month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
